Population Turnover and Area Deprivation
The aim of this study is to provide a better understanding of the role of population turnover in creating or sustaining area deprivation, to explore the extent to which deprived and non-deprived areas are connected through migration flows and to examine how net migration flows contribute to area change.
The research covered England and Scotland, drawing on Census data on migration as well as the official indices of deprivation for the two countries.
